About Me
My Mission and Philosophy
Whether you have a healthy, term baby, or a premie in the NICU, breastfeeding can be a challenge. My goal is to be there with you during this time and throughout your breastfeeding "career" to provide support and encouragement.
I believe that one size does NOT fit all when it comes to feeding your baby. I will help you work toward your own feeding goals while providing the most current, evidence-based knowledge to help answer your questions.
Education and Job Experience
- 2001 Graduated from UC Davis with BA in Psychology
- 2004 Graduated from the Johns Hopkins School of Nursing (BSN)
- 2004-2006 Registered Nurse in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)
- 2006-2015 Pediatric clinics (specialty and general)
- 2017 to present Public Health Nurse
- 2018 completed UCSD Lactation Consultant Program
Volunteer and Breastfeeding Experience
- 2014-2020 volunteer breastfeeding counselor with the Nursing Mothers Counsel,
- 2018 passed exam to be an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC).
- In addition, I was lucky enough to breastfeed my two children for 3 years each.
